What information does LessonMinder collect from users of the Site?
LessonMinder collects IP addresses for marketing analysis, and general identification. IP addresses do not reveal personal information. You may use the Site without providing any personal information. However, to become a member or advertiser at the Site, LessonMinder may ask you to provide information that personally identifies you. Such information may include your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, and other information that can be connected to you via use of cookies (described below) (collectively "Personal Information")
What are cookies and how are they used?
The term "Cookie" refers to data that enables a web server to remember user status. LessonMinder.com uses two forms of cookie technology. "Session cookies" reside in your computers memory until you close your browser, enabling the server to remember who you are throughout the session. Session cookies do not reside on your hard drive, and are the only type required for full access to LessonMinder's services.
A "hard drive cookie" is a very small text file placed on your hard drive by your Internet browser in response to a request by a web server. Hard drive cookies allow a web site to remember a user on subsequent visits. LessonMinder only enables hard drive cookies at the specific request of the user. Without them the user must log in during each visit. By modifying your browser preferences you may choose to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is set, or to reject all cookies. If you choose to reject all cookies you will be unable to use those LessonMinder services that require registration in order to participate.
In addition to purposes mentioned above, we might also use cookies to:
- Estimate our audience size. Each browser accessing the Site is given a unique cookie which is then used to determine the extent of repeat usage and usage by registered users versus by unregistered users.
- Measure certain traffic patterns, which areas of the Site you have visited, and visiting patterns of users in the aggregate. We use this research to understand how our users' habits are similar or different from one another so that we can make each new experience on the Site a better one.
How does LessonMinder use and share my Personal Information?
LessonMinder uses your Personal Information to provide the services available through the Site. Contact information for an advertiser is shared, with permission of that advertiser, only with LessonMinder members who have reviewed a particular property listing and request more information.

LessonMinder does not sell Personal Information (e.g., in customer lists) to any third party who may wish to advertise or market to you. We store and disclose Personal Information as allowed or required by applicable law or when deemed advisable in LessonMinder's discretion. This means that we may make disclosures that are necessary or advisable to conform to legal and regulatory requirements or processes and to protect the rights, safety and property of LessonMinder, users of this Site, and the public. We may also transfer Personal Information in connection with a change in our business, including without limitation in an acquisition, merger, reorganization or any other type of corporate change.
What is LessonMinder's policy about allowing me to update or correct my Personal Information?
You may update or edit your Personal Information at any time through the Site's profile edit feature.
What security precautions are in place to protect the loss, misuse, or alteration of my information?
We take reasonable steps to protect your Personal Information. LessonMinder uses Verisign, SSL and other encryption methodology to promote the secure transmission and storage of personal data. No data transmission over the Internet, however, can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your Personal Information, LessonMinder cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information communicated to or collected at the Site, including your Personal Information.
